The Ups and Downs and What Happens in Between

Never has there been a truer saying, ‘what goes up, must come down,’ and conversely what comes down, must eventually – go up. And so it is with interest rates, which have been kept artificially low in Australia for too long. 

Our country is now at the beginning of a testing time: high inflation, an energy crisis, increasing interest rates and tightened lending all mean that the recent heat in the property market will well and truly cool.
